PA Sprint Car Live on Beerhill Gang TV- MECHANICSBURG, Penn. (Dec. 21, 2020) – In 2017, four friends came together with an idea of bringing the fans of Sprint Car racing in Central Pennsylvania closer to the drivers that they cheer on weekly. Equipped with a cheap microphone and a cell phone, the idea of Beerhill Gang TV was put into motion during the Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa and a Facebook page was created to display the interviews.
As the likes and shares began piling up, the crew launched a free Facebook live show the following season during the annual Chili Bowl Nationals and named it PA Sprint Car Live. With the help of a few dedicated sponsors in Fully Injected Motorsports and Pace Performance, the show evolved over the next year from a couple guys behind a couch in a living room to a fully equipped set with both local and national touring series drivers joining in weekly.
Since then, the crew has done live shows from various speedways across the state, formed a partnership with Speed Shift TV (Now FloRacing) to broadcast their weekly PA Sprint Car Live shows as part of their PPV lineups, provided pre-race and post-race interviews nightly and more. They’ve also successful racked up nearly 20,000 likes/follows on their page to stake their place as a premier destination for race fans looking for news.
With Covid-19 taking center stage and limiting racing in Central Pennsylvania in 2020, the show sponsored various awards out west and gave out thousands of dollars to support the travels of the local drivers who were making the trek in search of racing. All of this while continuing to provide weekly free entertainment with their PA Sprint Car Live shows during the shutdown for fans stuck at home and out of work.
Looking to continue with the idea of giving back, PA Sprint Car Live on Beerhill Gang TV will be taking the next step in 2021 and will serve as a sponsor on the No. 87 410 Sprint Car of Denver, Pa. native Alan Krimes.
A regular at Lincoln Speedway and Williams Grove Speedway, Krimes began his 410 Sprint Car racing career in 2006 behind his family-owned No. 87. Krimes has since picked up track championships at Lincoln in 2014 and 2016 and is a multi-time winner at various speedways including the famed Mitch Smith Memorial at Williams Grove during Pennsylvania Speedweek.
Working on a tight budget compared to many of his competitors, Krimes represents everything great about our grassroots sport. With four sportsmanship awards to his name, he not only is a great representative of our sport at the track, but away from it as well. These are just a few of the reasons why we believe he is the perfect candidate to carry the PA Sprint Car Live on Beerhill Gang TV colors on the nose wing for the 2021 race season.
“Our friends with the Beerhill Gang have been sponsoring race cars for years and it was only a matter of time before we stepped up to the plate and gave our support as well,” said Justin Snyder, Beerhill Gang TV co-host. “We have a lot of great partners who help us make Beerhill Gang TV a reality and not only will this allow us to help a great driver get to the track, but it will allow us to represent our sponsors as well at the track even more.
“Alan is a guy who has done a lot with a little for many years and we’ve always held him in high regard as a driver and ambassador for our sport. It’s because of this that we believe he is the perfect driver to carry our name and we’re looking forward to taking this next step in Beerhill Gang TV’s legacy with him and his team,” he added.
For Krimes, he’s looking forward to a busy race season in 2021 and appreciates the support of the team.
“I really appreciate the Beerhill Gang TV guys thinking of me and for them wanting to support our race team.” said Krimes. “We’re a smaller team, so every little bit helps. I’m looking forward to the 2021 season and thankful to have them on board as a sponsor.”
